The Grapevine Historical Society is committed to bring residents, friends, and visitors a wide spectrum of feature programs monthly. They cover exciting and interesting information regarding the past, present and future of the area and how it continues to impact the interaction of people with our culture and the world around us.
Meetings are normally held monthly on the 4th Monday, with the exception of December, unless otherwise stated. Most meetings are held at "The Vine" Arts & Events Center, 225 W. Worth Street, at 7 PM - although members are encouraged to arrive at 6:30 for refreshments and pre-presentation conversation.
Programs are FREE and always open to all. The public and visitors are welcome to join in light refreshments before the meetings. To offer suggestions and comments, contact the Program chair by clicking on the highlighted word "program".

Buffalo Soldiers were 19th-century Army regiments composed exclusively of African American soldiers who served on the American frontier. For our meeting, Rudolph P. Arnold will brought to life Private Caleb Benson, who served 30 years as a Buffalo Soldier with the Ninth and Tenth Cavalry. Mr. Arnold received a Bachelor’s degree from Howard University, a Juris Doctorate from University of Connecticut and a Masters of Law from New York University. He retired as Deputy General Counsel for the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions. He is a member of the National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum and Westerners International. Our recording features excellent audio quality.
